Brighton 3Ts Royal Sussex County Hospital

Cerberus Nuclear supported the Brighton 3TS project at the Royal Sussex County Hospital by providing shield testing and substantiation for 40 rooms across five levels. This included lead plasterboard for standard shielding and thicker lead chevron blocks for PET rooms.

We offered Radiological Protection Advisor (RPA) guidance, inspected installations to ensure compliance with design intent, and documented the findings. Shielding verification was conducted using sealed sources for plasterboard and a portable X-ray betatron for chevron blocks.

Our work included providing risk assessments, local rules, method statements, and dose rate calculations to ensure regulatory compliance and safety.
