Emma Williams

Emma Williams is a Criticality Safety Assessor with over a decade of experience in the UK nuclear sector. She recently joined Cerberus Nuclear following a role as a Senior Criticality Safety Consultant at the UK National Nuclear Laboratory (UKNNL) and has supported a wide range of UK and international nuclear programmes across fuel manufacture, enrichment, decommissioning and advanced materials research.

Emma has acted as Criticality Technical Lead on several UKNNL projects and has experience of authoring and independent checking of criticality safety assessments, advanced neutron transport calculations (MONK), participation in HAZOPs, undertaking plant inspections, delivering operator training and review and sign-off of plant modification proposals. She also has previous experience of MCNP and SCALE. 

Alongside her operational role, Emma has made a significant contribution to skills development and professional capability across the sector. She has led the coordination and delivery of SQEP training for UKNNL trainees, acted as a mentor, and previously served as coordinator of the UK Working Party on Criticality (WPC) CPD Webinar Series.
